This picture-frame is hanging in our home, near the kitchen. Unfortunately I can not translate it in a satisfactory way. It is not only what the poem says and means (a very clever and joyful word-play with the word “happy”) that fascinates me; it is the thing as a whole, the perfect matching of words, meaning, drawing and typography that inspire me. I got it a few years ago as a present and It always makes me smile every time I walk by it.

The poem was written by Joke van Leeuwen and the image was made by René Windig. Copyright-holder is Plint, the publisher: http://www.plint.nl
